About the Founder

Meredith Ward is a licensed clinical social worker based in Philadelphia. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychological Science from Vassar College and her master’s degree from Smith College, a program with a strong psychodynamic foundation. She conducted research at Harvard Medical School on meditation as a treatment for anxiety and has published on mind-body interventions for anxiety and proneness to panic disorder.

She is enthusiastic about providing therapy to individuals interested in taking a closer look at their lives, patterns, thoughts, and feelings in order to reduce anxiety.

As your therapist, Meredith likes to “put it all on the table,” hearing one’s full story and taking a thoughtful, reflective, and focused approach to identifying patterns. She emphasizes attunement, reflection, guidance, and experiential coping skills.

Outside of providing therapy sessions, you can find Meredith somewhere outside, ideally by a body of water, reading, tending to her garden, at yoga, and watching movies with friends.
